This policy covers two separate places:
- The ShiftGoal iPhone app
- The ShiftGoal website at https://shiftgoal.app
The app is where you keep your work records. The website is for product information, support, and these policies.
Visiting the website does not give it access to the records stored in the app.
ShiftGoal is independently operated in the United Kingdom by Venkata Mahesh Mopidevi.

The ShiftGoal iPhone app
ShiftGoal helps you log hours, understand expected earnings, record payments and work expenses, and follow an income goal.
Expected earnings are calculated from the shifts you log. Payments you record are separate.
The app does not:
- Collect those payments for you
- Connect to an employer
- Connect to a payroll service
- Connect to a bank
Information stored by the app
Information you add to ShiftGoal may include:
- Workplaces
- Shifts and hours worked
- Expected earnings from logged shifts
- Payments you record
- Income goals
- Work-related expenses
- Work-day status
- App and profile preferences
- Milestone acknowledgements
How app data is stored and synced
ShiftGoal uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to store and sync your ShiftGoal records.
Your ShiftGoal records are stored in your private iCloud database. iCloud and CloudKit are Apple services. ShiftGoal does not own or operate them.
You manage these records through:
- The ShiftGoal app
- Your iCloud account
There is no ShiftGoal website account, and this website has no page for editing those records.
How ShiftGoal uses app data
Information you enter is used to provide the app, including:
- Recording and organising shifts
- Calculating expected earnings
- Tracking recorded payments
- Tracking work expenses
- Calculating projected net
- Showing Insights and work patterns
- Showing workplace breakdowns
- Tracking income-goal progress
- Showing your work on a calendar
- Syncing ShiftGoal records through iCloud
Projected net is expected earnings minus work expenses. ShiftGoal does not use this information for advertising, and it does not use it to train an AI system.
ShiftGoal.app website
The ShiftGoal website
https://shiftgoal.app describes the app. It includes pages such as features, insights, support, and these policies.
Visiting ShiftGoal.app does not give the website access to your private ShiftGoal app records.
This includes your:
- Shifts
- Workplaces
- Payments
- Work expenses
- Income goals
- Other private ShiftGoal app records
Those records stay in the app and in your private iCloud database.
Website performance
Vercel Speed Insights helps measure website performance, such as:
- Page-loading performance
- Responsiveness
It does not have access to your private ShiftGoal app records.
Website analytics
Additional website analytics are not currently enabled.
If privacy-focused website analytics are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated. Those measurements would stay separate from the work records stored in the app.
Support communications
When you email ShiftGoal support, ShiftGoal may receive:
- Your email address
- The contents of your message
- Any information or attachments you choose to send
Support correspondence is separate from the ShiftGoal records stored in your iCloud account.

App records
ShiftGoal records stay with the app and with your iCloud data. How long they remain depends on how you manage them, and on Apple's iCloud services. This policy does not set a separate ShiftGoal retention period for those records.
Support correspondence
We may retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain appropriate records, or resolve related issues.
Website performance information
This policy does not set a separate retention period for website performance measurements.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including:
- Access
- Correction
- Deletion
- Restriction
- Objection
- Portability
- Withdrawal of consent, where consent is the basis
- Making a complaint to a privacy regulator
These rights do not all apply in every situation.

Apple and Vercel may process information in countries other than the one where you live. This policy does not set out a separate international-transfer arrangement.
Children
ShiftGoal is not intentionally designed to collect information from children in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when:
- ShiftGoal changes
- Website services change
- Privacy practices change
- Legal requirements change
If the policy is revised in a material way, the last updated date will change. That date is not updated on every deployment.
When an effective date or a last updated date has been set, it is shown near the start of this page.
